How the village finder works

Villages are the best early-game find in Minecraft: beds, food, a blacksmith chest, trades and a safe place to spend the first night. Enter your seed and this finder lists the closest villages to your spawn point, then shows every village on the map as you pan.

Enter a seed in the box above the map and press Map it. The Find nearest panel on the left runs automatically for this structure and lists the closest results with distances from spawn. Click a result to center the map on it, then use Copy X Z or Copy /tp. Change the version selector to match your game; placement shifts between updates.

Tips

  • Plains, savanna, taiga, snowy and desert villages all appear; the map does not distinguish the style, so check the biome under the marker.
  • Villages can partially fail to generate on very steep terrain. The marker still points at the right chunk.
  • A village next to a pillager outpost (marked P) means raids are easy to trigger for Hero of the Village trades.

For what to expect inside, what spawns there and how to loot it safely, read the wiki’s village guide. To see every structure type at once, open the full seed map.
